UPDATE 2:26 p.m. Apparently, the president did a lot of work on the golf course this morning. No word on when and where he learned about false-alarm ballistic missile warning in Hawaii and his reaction.

UPDATE 12:30 p.m.: It’s 71-degrees under a robin’s-egg blue sky in Palm Beach - perfect weather for a selfie with Air Force One. The best spot is the perimeter road along the south side of Palm Beach International Airport. Access the perimeter road off Australian Avenue, between Belvedere Road and Southern Boulevard. Follow the perimeter road west about a mile to a small patch of grass near a fence lined with school buses.

UPDATE 11:20 a.m.: As President Trump prepared for his trip to Mar-a-Lago on Friday, members of the local Haitian community - the county’s largest immigrant population - were making plans to protest the president’s comments on Thursday about immigrants from Haiti and Africa. 

“Why do we need more Haitians? Get them out” Trump reportedly said during a meeting with congressional leaders. Trump also the term “shithole” to refer to African countries, according to news reports.

Local Haitian leaders are planning a protest march at 10 a.m. on Monday.

In Florida, home to 300,000 Haitians, the president’s comments drew widespread, bipartisan condemnation.

“He should have apologized. He used the single worst word,” said Sid Dinerstein, former Palm Beach County GOP chairman, who has been involved in Republican outreach to the area’s Haitian community.

Trump supporter Gov. Rick Scott also denounced Trump.

“If this report is true, it is absolutely wrong to say or think this. I do not think this way, nor do I agree with this kind of sentiment. I represent Florida, and we are an amazing melting pot where over 250 languages are spoken,” Scott said in a statement released by his office.

UPDATE 9:35 a.m.: The president kicked off his vacation in Palm Beach with some golf this morning at the Trump International Golf Club.

UPDATE 9:22 a.m.: Trump sends off another tweet about DACA. 

I don�t believe the Democrats really want to see a deal on DACA. They are all talk and no action. This is the time but, day by day, they are blowing the one great opportunity they have. Too bad!

The president created an uproar late Thursday when attendees at an Oval Office meeting on immigration said Trump questioned why the U.S. should accept more immigrants from Haiti and “shithole countries” in Africa.

Members of the local Haitian community and even some stalwart Trump supporters like Florida Gov. Rick Scott were critical.

UPDATE 8:24: The president took to Twitter Saturday morning to talk about the stock market and DACA. 

Yesterday was a big day for the stock market. Jobs are coming back to America. Chrysler is coming back to the USA, from Mexico and many others will follow. Tax cut money to employees is pouring into our economy with many more companies announcing. American business is hot again!

The Democrats are all talk and no action. They are doing nothing to fix DACA. Great opportunity missed. Too bad!

Air Force One landed at Palm Beach International Airport at about 6:45 p.m. with the president, first lady Melania Trump and son Barron drawing cheers from a crowd of about 40 supporters who gathered on the tarmac. Trump waved, gave a few triumphant fist pumps and briefly clasped his hands together to acknowledge the crowd, but didn’t go over to shake hands and sign autographs as he did in his last two visits.

As Trump’s motorcade made the roughly 5-mile trip to Mar-a-Lago, about 70 supporters cheered from the sidewalk in front of the Publix on Southern Boulevard and another group of Trump fans held signs and waved flags near the bridge that crosses the Intracoastal Waterway between West Palm Beach and Palm Beach.
