Description
You can try all Acronis products in trial/demo mode before making a purchase. You can access the trial version on Acronis website: press Try now button on the page with the Acronis product that you want to try.
The following Acronis products do not require a trial serial number, you can simply choose trial mode during installation:
- Acronis True Image 2021 - 30 days trial
- Acronis Disk Director 12.5 - unlimited demo
- Acronis Revive 2019 - unlimited demo
- Acronis Backup 12.5 (all editions) - 30 days trial
- Acronis Files Advanced - 21 days trial
- Acronis Files Connect - - 21 days trial
The following Acronis products require a trial serial number:
- Acronis Snap Deploy 5 - 30 days trial
- Acronis MassTransit - 30 days trial
When filling the registration form, make sure you provide a valid email address to which you have access - this is the email address to which your trial serial numbers will be sent.The automatic email usually comes within minutes after you fill out the form. If you do not receive an email, please check your spam/junk folder.

Acronis True Image 2017 is available as 3 license types:
- Acronis True Image 2017 1-Time Purchase
- Acronis True Image Standard Subscription
- Acronis True Image Premium Subscription
All types are available as 1, 3 and 5 machines licenses. Each license can be used for installing Acronis True Image on Windows or Mac.

One-time purchase license means your license is unlimited in time. Annual subscription means your license is limited for 1 or 2 years. You can renew your subscription and continue using the product.
After your Acronis True Image subscription expires, all product functionality will be blocked until further subscription renewal, however, the backed up data is still accessible:
- For 5 days after subscription expires you can continue making backups to cloud storage.
- During 30 days after subscription expires you can restore data from Cloud Storage. Thirty days after subscription expiration the data in cloud storage is destroyed.
- Local backups remain available for restore.
Mobile device is a device running iOS or Android. A tablet running Windows operating system is considered a computer.
Additionally, you can purchase a quota for Acronis Cloud Storage. Having cloud storage unlocks additional features like storing your backups and archived data in cloud and accessing and sharing this data from anywhere anytime, as well as keeping your social networks content (photos, videos, liked pages and much more) safe by backing up your Facebook accounts.
By purchasing Acronis True Image Standard Subscription you get an Acronis Cloud Storage 50 GB subscription for free
Cloud storage is available as a 1-year or 2-year subscriptions with these quotas:
- Acronis Cloud Storage - 50 GB
- Acronis Cloud Storage - 100 GB
- Acronis Cloud Storage - 250 GB
- Acronis Cloud Storage - 500 GB
- Acronis Cloud Storage - 1 TB
- Acronis Cloud Storage - 1+ TB (increasing your storage quota with 1-TB increments you can acquire as much storage as you need, for example, 5 TB, 14 TB, 22 TB etc.)
The quota is shared among all the machines registered in the account.
The license is based on the purchased subscription term for the specified number of machines (physical or virtual), with no restrictions on the number of mobile devices. Subscription length at any given time may not exceed three (3) years. Each license comes with a limited amount of cloud storage and additional cloud storage is sold separately. Each end user licensee may utilize no more than ten (10) copies of these products at any given time. Please see our Fair Usage Policy for additional restrictions. Existing customers with active subscription with unlimited cloud storage may renew their subscription up until January 1, 2019. Unlimited cloud storage is not offered otherwise.

Symptoms
You receive the following message:
You've exceeded the maximum number of activations for this serial number
Cause
- You exceed the limit of available activations. For example, you have an Acronis True Image 2019 1 computer license and attempt to install Acronis True Image on more than 1 machine.
- You reinstalled or upgraded your operating system.
- You upgraded your machine with new hardware.
- You replaced your machine with a new one.
If you want to use Acronis True Image on more machines than you license allows, you will need to purchase additional serial numbers and activate the new copies.
If you have reinstalled or upgraded your operating system or hardware, or simply moved the product to a different machine, reactivate Acronis True Image in the new environment.
Solution
- Click Resolve problem.
- Select one of the options.
- If you have reinstalled Windows, or changed hardware of your computer (for example, you might have upgraded motherboard or processor), click I have changed hardware or reinstalled Windows on this computer and choose from the list the same computer by its old name.
- If you have installed Acronis True Image on a new computer click I have installed Acronis True Image on a new computer and select one of the three options.
- Buy a new license.
- Enter another Acronis True Image 2019 serial number you have already purchased.
- Move the license to your new computer from another one on which the product is already activated. To do this, select the computer from which you want to move the license. Note that Acronis True Image will be deactivated on that computer.
